hand warmers on co2 tanks

we were playing this weekend and it was really cold. we had alot of trouble with the guns freezing up. we were thinking of putting hand warmers on the tanks and/or the guns to keep them warm. will this help or hurt. the hand warmers have an average temp of 126-144 degrees farenheit.
