I just reread your post, and I answered the wrong question, so how to change actuator rods is below this answer....

Remove the set screw closest to the three way on the coupler, and use a pick to push the three way shaft out of the coupler. Then you can grab it as it sticks out the front of the three way.

The coupler threads onto the rod, and is held in place by the set screw on the end closest to the frame. On the three way shaft, there is a divot that the front set screw sits in and holds it tight.
To remove the rod, remove the grip frame, loosen the set screw closest to the frame, and unscrew the rod from the coupler.
To remove the coupler from the three way shaft, remove the set screw closest to the three way, and slide the coupler off the three way shaft.

Hope that helps,
Nathan

: I have to install a new 3-way, so I need to remove the actuating collar (that goes to the trigger frame) from the 3-way actuating rod (that goes in the 3-way). None of the info I've found on collar adjusment says how the two rods go together, because you don't have to remove them from each other to do normal adjustment. I need to know how the collar that goes from the trigger is supposed to fit into the rod that goes through the 3-way, so that the gun will function well and won't leak. Thanks.
