: Like you said, I didn't know. Especially about snowboarding bindings. I assumed they were simular to ski bindings and my comments were from that frame of reference where the racing binding are made to be much firmer and don't come off so easy. Bad for an beginning skier...

: Glad you were an experienced boarder.
: Tough breaks!

: : Sue their ass.

: I am severely allergic to lawyers myself but after all the years of therapy, I am a fan of holding manufacturers accountable in a court of law.

: Corporation just don't give a damn. Their bean counters (like Ford and Firestone) calculate how much it would take to settle 200 lawsuits for a defect they KNOW about that kills people and simple compare that to the cost of a recall and refit.

: Nothing personal, just business. Well, it IS personal if you are one of their victims in their cold calculations.

: Well, since they have no sense of corporate responsibility, they deserve to be sued and send a message to the other manufacturers. WE eventually wind up paying for it next time we buy a car but maybe they will do a recall next time before more people are maimed and killed.

: : 1: Why sue? All that would do is setback the alpine division of snowboaring even more. Bad thing.

: You get to pick which parties you want to sue.
: You sound like you've ruled it out. Ok.

I wouldnt sue Bruce anyway, hes a really nice guy. Good customer support too. Plus, hes in canada, and theres absolutley no case to be made on it anyway, because it wasnt the board's fault. Not like it was my first time on it. I've been riding it since November. Its a really really really nice board. The FIRST day I rode it, it kicked my ass, but its because it was my first LONG board (184 cm, the average snowboard is ~ 150ish) so It was to be expected.

Cant sue Jeff (bindings) because the bindings arent designed to release. Wouldt want to sue him since he is one of 2 binding manufatures, and Im not too wild about Fin's design.

Why sue Raichle? Their boots kept my bones from stabbing through my skin. Once again, theyre one of 2 manufacturers. UPS boots arent as stiff as raichles.

I wouldnt sue anyone anyway, It was a human error on my part, I caught an edge. I was beating myself up about it for weeks, but I realized that it happens to everyone. Picabo Street (most decorated US Ski Team member of all time) caught an edge and had to go for months or rehab and wasnt able to ski for like...2 years. I'll be back on snow by November. She completley shattered all of her right knee. (thats why snowboaring is better, no knees unless you fall on them) Im a good snowboarder, 2nd in the State/Reigon and I fell. Oh well.

Try the skiier's knee straps, they work good.
