First of all, your pressure was not adjusted to 280, your velocity was. Velocity is the speed your marker shoots at, pressure is the volume of air your marker needs to fire. Second, the tippmann model 98 is not a gun. Guns are firearms, they use a controlled explosion to expell bullets at extremely high speeds and kill people. The tippmann model 98 is a MARKER. It releases air in order to launch a gelatin capsul filled with paint to mark someone. That being said... The starfire bolt is a venturi design (curved to cup the ball and evenly distribute gas behind it) It's not much better than the stock one, and you don't really need it. A low pressure system for the 98 is a waste of money, and won't affect your accuracy at all. The only way to fix your feed problems is an autofeeder, or agitated loader as they're more commonly reffered to as. A 9 volt revolution should be more than fast enough to keep up with a 98, and will only run you about 40 dollars If you're on co2, buy a cheap expansion chamber, you will see your shot to shot consistency skyrocket. : I was using PowerBall paint last time I use the gun and the pressure was set to about 280. After reading some posts here I wanted to find out what paint combo worked the best with the flatline? : Also if the low pressure system would help with accruacy. : Another think I noticed was that I seem to have a feed problem where after about 3 or 4 shots the hopper would not feed and I would have to shake the gun to get the next round. Any suggestion on how to fix that? Other than an autofeeder. : Also has anyone used the starfire bolt?
: I just got a new Custom 98 and Flatline barrel. I am looking for suggestions and mods to improve performance I am mostly concerned about the best performance.
