Removing Dyna Flow Reg from Tank

They must epoxy these regs onto the tank!
I need to get the tank hydro tested, but can't get the reg off. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a trick? I tried (conservatively) heating the reg where it meets the tank, but it still won't budge.
