Palm Beach Predators top first Sunshine Series Event

The first tournament in the 1998 5 Man Amateur Florida State Sunshine Series was held at the Bullseye Paintball Court in Port St. Lucie, Florida on January 18th.

The tournament on the 18th was the first of 4 making up the Sunshine Series. The top three scores from all four events from each team will be used to determine the winners who will walk home with cash prizes (based a percentage of the entry fees) expected to range from $8,000 for first place to $3,000 for third. In addition the first place team from each event receives 5 full size trophies and 50% off the entry fee to the next event. This structure means that finishing points are more important than simply the rank of who finishes which event. While the Palm Beach Predators came out on top, they only have a 2 point lead over Rush. Similarly Martial Law, Illusion and the Jascksonville Warriors are grouped closely together.
