The original Matrix, the e-Matrix with a slide switch grip frame was produced by Air Tech Industries and distributed by Diablo Direct. Later models evolved to the LED Matrix with a push button in the grip, and LCD with an LCD display, and were then produced by Generation E. These were followed by the later generation DM and Proto Matrices were produced by DYE which involved the same working concept with a radical redesign. The Matrix utilised an open bolt spool valve design, in which air directed by a solenoid valve pushed the bolt closed which sealed the breech and released the propelling gas. *The removable breech allowed for easy cleaning as well as the use of different barrel thread configurations |
