WDP are proud to announce that they have received a UK and USA Patent on their Angel LCD marker. Since it’s launch in August 1999 the Angel LCD has taken the tournament world by storm and in the last 2 years the Angel has been instrumental in helping teams such as Avalanche and SC Ironmen win consecutive World Championships. The Angel LCD was the first marker in the world to incorporate such an array of unique performance enhancing features combined with the first LCD display seen on a Paintball Marker. These unique features and LCD display are now officially the intellectual property of WDP. John Rice WDP’s design guru stated the following; “ The Angel LCD was the result of over 2 years painstaking research and development at our B.Ham facility. Myself and Nick Marks WDP’s head of engineering work to a simple but highly effective design philosophy created by WDP to ensure that all our innovative product idea’s and subsequent designs lead to maximum customer satisfaction out on the field. Internally this design philosophy is known as the PURE design ethos. All new innovative product concepts must first achieve our three PURE design fundamentals, and must be: PERFORMANCE enhancing, USER friendly & RELIABLE. By not compromising on any of these three fundamentals, we ensure that all our products achieve EXCELLENCE through innovation and not just novelty through innovation. We get a fantastic buzz out of seeing how much pleasure the players get from using our products and receiving these patents is further vindication of our exacting approach to product development. The PURE design ethos is an on going control process that continues to ensure WDP produce the most innovative and well designed products in Paintball. WDP have numerous patent applications filed in both Europe and the USA, and the paintball world can expect to see WDP making similar patent announcements in the coming months. Written notification of the granting of WDP’s LCD patents will be sent to all Paintball gun manufacturers and UK importers as we intend to vigorously defend our considerable investment in these and any other proprietary intellectual property rights both now and in the future.
