PRESS RELEASE

PNN Launches 'Goggles On!...Always.'

Safety Campaign targets backyard players

Paintball News Network (PNN) today unveiled a nationwide safety awareness campaign dubbed 'Goggles On!...Always', primarily targeting 12 to 17 year old backyard players and their parents.

'Most legitimate commercial playsites across the country have done a good job of providing eye safety instructions to their customers and reinforcement of that rule during play at the field.', said David Hutcherson, VP, corporate sales and partnership marketing for PNN.  'However, when it comes to impacting customers who purchase equipment, get air fills and then play in their backyard or at other unsupervised locations, the reinforcement of the eye safety rule is almost non-existent.'

PNN will support the campaign with an aggressive PR push to the mainstream media and national print advertisements, and will distribute point of sale support materials with the message 'Goggles on!...Always' to retail stores and playsites that carry paintball equipment.

'Manufacturers of paintball products, especially those manufacturers who distribute products through mass merchandisers and sports specialty locations, should also be active in support of this effort because they provide the most efficient way of reaching those customers that are more likely to play back yard paintball.', Hutcherson explains.  'If they were to do that,  no matter where paintball players go to purchase equipment or supplies, our 'Goggles on!...Always.' message will be reinforced'.

Teaser ads kick off the campaign this week. 'Goggles On!...Always' will roll-out nationwide to retail stores over the next few weeks.
