Challenge Park Xtreme announced it will be the host skate park for the CFB’s final competition, scheduled for June 21-23rd, that will attract some of the industry’s best-known riders. CFB, or Crazy Freakin’ Bikers, is Mat Hoffman’s freestyle BMX competition series that holds three events a year around the country. Mat Hoffman has been one of the top freestyle BMX riders in the world and runs his own bike company and even has a top-selling video game that features him. The event will draw more than 100 of the top professional stunt bicycle riders from all over the world, including Mat Hoffman himself. This event will be an X Games qualifier and will be featured on the cable sports channel ESPN2. Hundreds of spectators are expected at this exciting event. Competitions will be held in Flatland, Dirt Jumping, Park/Street and Vert (half-pipe), with a total purse of $22,000. The competitions are open to both Amateur and Professional competitors. This event will be the final CFB event of the year, which means the 2002 CFB Champion will be crowned and the coveted “Golden Straight Jacket Awards” will be given out. Challenge Park Xtreme is the world’s first extreme sports theme park and will have other events planned for the weekend, including a BMX race, concert and paintball games.
