Facefull Issue 15

Paintball goes virtual?

We’ve asked our Facefull VR experts to check out paintball’s new and latest incarnations away from the actual field. What, another added ‘skin’ to
already popular shoot’em ups? Not a chance, paintball players have created their own innovative games, and they are bound to turn your world upside down. First up, you’ll be able to coach your virtual team to the top with Paintball Manager Extreme, the latest and most complete paintball simulation game ever seen on computer. Another historical first is AG’s long awaited
Paintcheck, the first paintball board game in the history of our sport. We’ll tell you how this game has already hooked players on both sides of the
Atlantic, and how expansion modules are already in the making!

But nothing’s as good as the real thing, and that’s why we intensified tournament coverage in this new Facefull issue (#15): Amsterdam and Toulouse weren’t running scared , and managed to put on quite a show, but the battle is far from over as the PSP and the NPPL went head to head in Chicago. So what kind of town was it this year? Not as moody as Las Vegas, as both leagues managed to rise to the top and brace themselves for the final events of the season.

But that’s just the beginning: Have you ever wondered which league was the most tightly marshaled and had cheaters running for cover? EXL commissioner Steve Morris tells us about his life-long (winning?) battle against paintball’s number one enemy: cheating. And of course, you won’t be disappointed by the most cutting edge paintball gear, a riveting profile of Aftershock’s Billy Ceranski, Jack Wood’s tech tips, our first NXL pro strategy feature, the most complete and up to date international ranking, a double portfolio and the best European all-girl paintball team (and we don’t mean the Tontons!)

Facefull magazine's issue #15 is available now in newsstands in the US and Canada (including Barnes & Nobles, Borders, Chapters, Books-A-Million, Bookstops, B.Dalton, Hawley Cooke, Independent bookstores, Wal-Mart, Food Lion, Winn Dixie, Quick Check, etc...), as well as at all major paintball distributors.

If you are already a dealer, please send us your address to feature on our website.
