NPCA College Teams Playing Arenaball at Am Open NCPA
Eight NCPA college teams are headed to the Draxxus International Amateur Open near
Pittsburgh for an ArenaBall ™ exhibition competition on Friday, July 18th.
The teams will be shooting top-quality Draxxus paintballs under Brimstone Enterprises’
new portable “Ultimate ThunderDome”™ netted cages with Ultimate Airball ™ bunkers.
The NCPA invites players and spectators, especially college-bound students and their
parents, to come meet the college teams at the event and at the following International
Players’ Party sponsored by Pev’s Paintball/PaintballChannel.com. Whether you’re
looking for a college team to play for, want to find out how to start a club at your own
school, or just want to meet the players on some of the top college teams in the country,
IAO is the place to be to get your college paintball questions answered.
“The college teams are really excited to be a part of the Draxxus IAO experience and try
the new ArenaBall format,” said NCPA President Chris Raehl. “I can’t think of a better
excuse for some off-season play, and the inter-conference competition between teams
who do not usually play each other should add even more excitement.”
The eight teams attending the event, by 2003-2004 season ranking, are:
#1 University of Illinois Illini
#2 Purdue University Boilermakers
#5 Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions
#7 Drexel University Dragons
#9 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights
#13 Minnesota State University Mavericks
#15 Ohio State University Buckeyes
#17 Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays
