Wil Smith Trains at SC Village & Hollywood Sports
by Julio Lagos

“The Fresh Prince” is moving to a town not called Bell-Air, but a town called Bellflower. Why? Hollywood Sports of course! The box office champion of 4th of July weekends is undergoing intense training at the world renowned Hollywood Sports and SC Village. Celebrities are all too common to the grounds of Hollywood Sports (HSP). A few of the many high-profile friends of HSP include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Arnold, Nicholas Cage, and now, “The Fresh Prince” himself Wil Smith.

He saved the world from complete annihilation against an alien species in “Independence Day”, protected Earth from creatures that lurk in disguise in “Men in Black”, and kicked ass in “Bad Boys” and “Ali”. After championing these blood-rushing adventures, Wil Smith is beginning a new chapter, a real life chronicle where he will champion his own paintball team.

When Wil Smith searched for someone to coach his team, he turned to the best in the world, Hollywood Sports. The guru of paintball himself, Giovanni D’Egidio organized a coaching session with world professional athletes. To drop a couple of names, Broheim from the retired Iron Men, Johnny from Dynasty, and Little John from Oakland Assassins coached Wil Smith’s crew at Hollywood Sports on the fundamental skills of paintball.

The day began at Wil Smith’s corporate office. Like no other person can, D’Egidio of Hollywood Sports got them up to date on the equipment that paintball athletes use. They discussed everything from loaders to gloves, and from where to play, and how to play. Talks of scenario fields highly intrigued Wil Smith and his team.

Several hours later, Wil Smith and his crew joined D’Egidio at the grounds of Hollywood Sports. While at HSP they got busy with hands on drills of fundamental tactics. They were first coached on how to properly divide their team so that each player can make the best of their abilities at a specified location on the paintball field. After finding a region of specialization and expertise, Hollywood Sports gave the Wil Smith team sharp tips and pointers on how to escape the fast flying paintball capsules and how to maximize their hit ratio. The day was a blast. Ultimately, having many talented and professional athletes in the same room with
Will Smith was an event only Hollywood Sports could orchestrate.
