In Your Face - Paintball Movie
September 3, 2002

Mirus Productions, the Hollywood film production company that brought you last year's action thriller  "Downward Angel," has announced a tentative release date of November 15, 2002 for "In Your Face," an action film totally based on the sport of paintball.  Directed by Tim Tomassino, from NBC-TV's top-rated "ER," the movie, as he describes it, is about "the overpowering desire to win."

The story centers on Todd Jarvis and his longtime buddies, Jared, Scott, and Chaz, all paintball players.  Daily, after high school they get a game of rec-ball together, but because their small town offers very limited opportunities in the paintball venue, they can only dream about the far-off possibility of playing "pro-style" tournament speedball. One day they get news that will change their lives forever.

The journey from that moment to the film's end is not only dramatic - and funny- but is full of non-stop, driving paintball action, like audiences have never before experienced.  The viewer becomes a participant in the drama of the game itself, thanks to Director Tommasino.

Stylistically, Tommasino has come up with a potent mix.  He combines dual camera, rapid-paced cinematography by Kevin Jones (of "Duality" fame), an edgy editing style and some hot, young talented actors in Keir O'Donnell and Michelle Borst, among others.  He tops it all off with over 20 new songs by Southern California's emerging bands, along with a film score by Dennis McCarthy, of Star Trek fame.

"In Your Face" is due for release November 15.  Continuously updated news and entertainment, including mini-trailers, production scenes and character bios, as well as some of the movie's music, can be found at www.paintballmovie.com.
