PCRI Not Sold
8/4/99

Recently a number of web pages have reported that Paintball News purchased the magazine PCRI (Paintball Competitions and Ratings International) and placed John Amodea as new Paintball News editor.  In a WARPIG interview with PCRI's Peverill and Amodea, both stated that PCRI has not been sold, acquired, or merged with Paintball News.  A number of potential options have been and are being considered for PCRI's future.  However, as of August 4, 1999 no contracts for sale or merger have been made, and no letters of intent signed.  According to Peverill the premature announcement that Paintball News had acquired PCRI came at a time when a potential merger between the two businesses was being negotiated.
