Eastern Kentucky University Paintball
by Jason Cser

Eastern Kentucky University located in Richmond, KY now has an official paintball organization.  Officially approved on September 19th, 2002, we now have 28 members and hope to get many more.

In order to start an official organization an application had to be filled out with EKU.  Along with the application, we also had to have 15 members to start off.  Thanks to Dan Robinson, President of the organization, all this was put into action and made possible. Also to get the word out to everyone we hung up flyers all around campus.
Due to the great support of EKU and local sponsors we are holding a 1on 1 tournament this Saturday, October 12, 2002. We are very lucky to have the 2001 Mardi Gras field donated to us by Extreme Haven Paintball and for the top three winners, prizes donated by High Velocity Paintball.  We are using the tournament as a recruitment/fundraiser type of event.  Price is only $5 dollars + cost of paint, no equipment needed.

Everyone within the paintball organization is very thankful for the support of Eastern Kentucky University and all of the donations that we have received.  We hope to grow and start a new tradition through out colleges.
