SCEPTER COMBAT SYSTEMS 40MM GRENADE
Scepter Combat Systems

Scepter Combat Systems Develops new 40mm Grenade Launcher Products. The paintball industry’s Military Simulation (MILSIM) and Scenario customers have been asking for new, safe and innovative products to help bring new tactics and realism to their games. SCS has stepped up to the plate.

Over the past 18 months, SCS’ CEO, Greg Warnock and his staff of machinists and engineers have developed a patent pending, pneumatic 40mm launcher and fragmentation ammunition. These products have been proven to be safe, efficient and effective at many of this year’s biggest paintball games.

Scepter Combat Systems now makes “marker-specific” 40mm launcher systems for the Tippmann A5, Spyder types, Vector, Armotech, Warsensor, Miltec, as well as a new Universal Launcher, which mounts to ANY paintball marker, and a Flatline Launcher for players with an A5 Flatline Barrel.

Last year, the launcher’s debut at Oklahoma D-Day was a tremendous success, and had people like Bill Bailey (one of the founders of modern paintball games) giddy with excitement about Scepter’s safe method of shooting fragmentation grenades as anti-personnel artillery.

One player, at this year’s OK Dday games was heard to express, “indirect fire is the holy grail of paintball!” Now, with a Scepter Launcher, a
player can “take out” other players who are hiding in or behind a bunker, by shooting the grenade into the protective cover or behind it. Before, they could only shoot a paintball directly at them, or would have to move in closely enough to lob a hand grenade at them.

Scepter has accepted this “holy grail” concept as a challenge to begin to promote their systems to all of the big game promoters and field owners.

In the past, only hand-thrown grenades have been allowed at scenario games. But Scepter has spent months developing a grenade system that has very low kinetic energy at impact, and yet releases a circular paint spray pattern of fifteen feet. Anyone in the fifteen foot “kill zone” gets painted and is deemed “out.” The grenades are made from custom made rubber tubing, and a custom made, proprietary 40mm cardboard sabot.
SCS also now makes a 100mm Mortar System, that fires a 100mm sabot, with seven Scepter Grenades…out to 85 yards, with an 80 square foot “paint-kill zone.” Heavy artillery will now become a major part of scenario games, with the introduction of this safe and very efficient mortar system.

Oklahoma D-day’s game promoters were very excited to see numerous launchers this year, and made several public comments about their
observations. A senior staff member there, Clay “Mouth” Sanger wrote on their website (www.oklahomadday.com):

“If you didn't see the Scepter Systems in action at D-Day, then you missed out. Two words: AWESOME and SAFE. Did I mention awesome?

The launchers and mortars bring a dimension to the game that has been needed so badly. Anyone that was on the receiving end of heavy Scepter fire can attest to their effectiveness...Well, they can attest to it as soon as they wipe the dripping paint from their goggles!

One of my favorite things this year was to see Scepter Grenades raining down of fortified positions. It's amazing how effective suppressive
bombardment is, and it couldn't be done before the Scepter System.

If you saw one in action, then you know what I mean. If you've never seen one, then you MUST try one. The Scepter Systems were by far my favorite new weapon of D-Day. All questions of effectiveness and safety disappeared as soon as I saw one in action. Absolutely wonderful.”

And,

“As far as safety, quality, and effectiveness, Scepter Combat Systems products get an A+ in every category.”

The future of scenario paintball gaming is going to be very exciting!
