: i had heard a rumor that warpig had a falling out with Chuck and Crew and that was why warpig did not attend Chi-town : Will warpig be at NY/NJ? Earlier this year, we stopped the extra support we were providing the league (scheduling, scorekeeping, etc.) because it was not the relationship we had initially lined out with the league, and talks to fix the situation kept getting put off, and put off, until it was obvious to us that it just wasn't going to work out. That's very diffent though, from covering the event as a news story on our web site. We did what other respected publications do, and something we were first to do on the internet - had a reporter(s) at the tournament write about and photograph the action, and then report it on the web. In fact one magazine editor who did not attend the tournament commented that he followed the wrap-up of the prelims, the semis and finals on 3 major web sites, and consistently found the information first on WARPIG. Considering that, it becomes obvious that there are a handfull of people actively trying to discredit us by spreading entirely false rumors that WARPIG.com is no longer covering NPPL events, in addition to the various made up reasons why. Yes, we will be covering the New Jersey NPPL tournament. See you on the field, |
