I don't know any of the teams in question, but I do have some advice. Since it's free, it's worth exactly what you paid for it.

Conflicts of interest, or even the appearance of conflicts of interest, should be avoided. Failure to avoid such conflicts, or appearances of conflicts, opens the door to all sorts of whining, complaining, carping, etc.

Under no circumstances should a sister team judge another sister team. If they do, the tournament producer might just as well hang up a sign that says "Please complain about the way I run my tournaments on the internet, and tell the world that I am a favorite-playing jackass!"

The plain and simple fact, is that running a tournament is enough of a hassle. Tournament directors do not need to be doing things that are only going to cause them additional grief.
