What to upgrade first....

I just bought a 99 Autococker on Ebay...It's a really nice gun and I fell in love with it immediately. Of course, upgrades are in order. I'm playing with it this weekend to see if anything needs upgrading immediately. If not, I have a couple questions... First...I will be running CO2 for the time being. Is compressed air really a necessary option? I know it will bring increased consistancy, which, for the type of player I am, means quite a bit, but can I get the same consistancy with CO2? Second, barrel. It currently has the stock barrel on it, which is very accurate already. However, it is LOUD (considering it's 10" and unported). What is the best value for a barrel? I'd like to stay under $50 if at all possible (which basically rules out any kind of barrel kit unfortunately). Any other upgrade suggestions? Keep in mind that it came with a venturi bolt, drop forward and sexy back block, so those do not need to be upgraded for the time being. Thanks a lot! Steve |
