Barrels Lengths & Inline Regs?

I recently purchased a stock cocker and love it but the pain of adjusting the stock reg is driving me insane. I am looking at getteing a new one and am wondering if any one works better on a cocker than another. Also I want to get a new barrel and have heard that cockers work better with certain length barrels than others. Any info would help.
