Since you have a minicocker, an low pressure chamber (LPC) would be a good idea. They increase the volume of air behind the valve, helping to reduce shoot down, and making it easier for the reg to feed the gun a constant pressure.
Sweet spot the reg first, before you change anything. 550psi is damn high for a modern cocker, so that should be the first step.
If you have an older bolt, say pre-2k, think about replacing it with something less restrictive. That will up your shot count, and help at the chrono. Personally, I like the Free Flow, and Lightning bolts. I'd avoid anything delrin that isn't custom fit to your gun. Chances are it will be a sloppy fit.
Try those, see if you are happy with the performance. If not, then look into valves, and spring kits, so you can play around with the valve dwell.

: ok i have a minicocker with a 68 3000 max flow system. you know the old ones that have reverse threads on the tank. well my efficiency and pressure suck. i have an input of about 550. i never tried sweetspotting the reg. i have an ans jackhammer reg and an ans ram. stock valve and all that good stuff. what i want to know is whats a better internal set up to get my pressure down and more efficient. im willing the change it all if thats what it calls for. do those low pressure volumizer deals work on the front block? some info on all this would be great. thanks
