: What a reg does is controlls how much air is shot at what psi yatta yatta yatta. In co2 tanks, it just keeps feeding the marker air until the valve closes. So yes a Regulator "actually" works. HTH.

I meant to say in expansion chambers, it just keeps feeding air into the marker until the valve closes.
