Okay, if your going to buy an upgraded bolt for the M98, do yourself a favor and don't waste money on anything but the Delrin bolt. I just looked at 888paintball and they have a venturi style and a starfire style bolt. If you wish to upgrade it, try the starfire, because of the delrin material it is made of. The reason for a different style bolt (starfire, venturi, etc.) is usually that the flow through the bolt and around the paintball is to narrow, causing turbulence, which reduces accuracy, and more frequent ball breaks. Neither of these is an issue with the M98 due to the wide face of the bolt, so no upgrade is really needed. Here you would really be upgrading the material of the bolt from plastic to a self lubricating delrin, which is an issue with some guns (Spyders, Pirhanas, and other stack tube blow backs) but not with the M98, so there really is no purpose in that.

If you do want to upgrade something, I would suggest starting with the barrel (try either a J&J Ceramic or a Lapco, about 12 inches is good). This can be found at 888paintball, and it will run you about $60-$80. If you have more funds that you would like to spend, consider getting a Palmer stabilizer, which will increase your gas efficiency and the consistency of your shot, and therefore your accuracy. The stabilizer can be found at www.palmers-pursuit.com, and it will run you about $100. To install the stabilizer, you'll also need a $30 adapter from Tippmann (another thing you can get at 888paintball). $130 is kind of hefty on the pocketbook, but once you have a Palmers Stabilizer they are ensured for life, and you can always take it off the 98 and bring it with you to the next gun you may get. A very good thing to have. If you still have money burning a hole in your pocket, you might try an agitated loader. It will keep you from having to do the famed "hopper shake" dance, and it will help you shoot as fast as you want with your M98. Halo B is basically considered the best, but it is rather pricy at about $100. A close second is the VL Evlution, which runs about $50, but still does a great job with BPS. Finally, the old reliable VL Revolution will do great as well. It runs about $50. As with the Stabilizer, an agitated hopper can go with you to any marker you ever own, so it is a good, long term investment.
