Agree O-ring might be fine, if not I personally don't belive in cutting off as it is not really needed and it increases the chances of accidentily slicing your self or slipping and damaging the threads(not likely but anything can happen). What I do to remove O-ring is simply squeeze both sides that causes a gap that allows you to get it over the lip and it just pops right off. Plus if you are on the field with no access to a knife is not a problem.

: just because the o-ring swelled up dosent mean its not good anymore

: after it goes back to normal(warms up) the ring is usually fine

: unless the co2 is leaking out when you try to screw the tank back on

: otherwise it should be fine

: if it is bad, just cut it off, and slip on a new one
