problem with part and questions about flatline

i recently bought a used m98 and the screws on the right side of the gun have fallen out holding the valve,(i believe that is wat this is called, it is the part that the air goes into first after the hose.) i was wondering if i need to buy that whole new part, or if therer is some trick to making it stay without it.
also i am considering buying a flatline. is it worth buying, and if so wat is probably the best ball and the proper fps to keep the gun accurate, yet with good ball breakage?
