You might need a drop-forward to balance the bigger tank, but that's personal preference. With a screw-on tank, there are no mods necessary. I use CO2 and HPA interchangeably, but I don't have a RT. HPA is more consistent, but you don't get as many shots on a fill.
I'll let someone with a RT comment on the effects of shoot-down, etc.
