my 98 custom is being real weird HELP!!!!

ok, when i first got the gun i got the tank filled took it out in the back yard and shot about a hundred shots......so the next day i went to the local paintball feild to try it out. At the beginning of the the first game it fired about 2 shots fine then one when about twenty feet and the bolt didnt recock itself. so i pulled it back and the gun did the same think....i really need help cuz i just bought it!
