A couple weekends ago, my dad and I made our annual trip up to Michigan for a model engineering show. In a nutshell, it's a huge arena filled with hundreds of machinists, and their fantastic models of steam engines, motors, etc. Also, strictly hypothetical, would anyone consider purchasing these for their guns if they were made? Again it would probably cost a bunch..
My dad is also a machinist, and that weekend we were discussing him making me a double trigger to my design for my gun. Well, as we passed a computer controlled mill in a demonstration, I thought - how neat it would be to make aluminum model 98 C halves instead of whatever they are made out of! It would probably cost a lot after getting them made and anodized, and would just be 99% cosmetic, but it would be different.
Has anyone ever seen these? Heard of them? Thought of the idea? Just wondering if the idea has been out there before...
