my Pro-lite won't cock

i tried to mount a scope on my pro-lite, i had to take my rear sight off to mount the scope, as i was zeroing it is the connecting rod popped off and i tok off the back of the gun to pull in rod out and when i put it back in,it won't cock, please help me
