No! You just cock it once, push it back where it locks and start shooting. The cocking mechanism is slotted so the rod that goes into the hammer freely slides back and forth with every shot inside of the housing. Nothing is moving outside of the housing or back into your face. Everything that moves is inclosed, and protected from dirt that causes wear and tear on your marker. : Hello, : : : : Hello,
: Every time you shoot, does the little ring move back and forth? I don't know if I would like this...
: Thanks,

: : They help some to reduce noise, but are very good at keeping dirt out of the gun. I prefer the Spee-t-cock from Ballistic Sports http://www.ballisticsports.com/homepage.html
: : over the rocket cock. The rocket is plastic, but the Spee-t-cock is all aluminum and is only about $5.00 more. They have the best rear velocity adjusters as well as some other nice upgrades for Tippmann 98's
: : : Is the use of a rocket cock, purely for ease of cocking the bolt back? I have never seen one on a gun, but it looks like it covers up the open bolt area, is this true? Just wondering what exactly they are for, may be a future upgrade...
