: Hi, looking into getting a reg for my bushy. Right now I'm looking at the vigilante. How do you ajust the velocity with an upgraded reg, through the tank or through the reg, sorry I know this is a dumb question. Also what type of velocity readings should I expect with a Vigilante, VAPORized bushy, with Max Attack ajustable tank. Thanks

:: The setup you are looking at is identical to how I have been running my Vaporized B2K.

You adjust your velocity by adjusting the output pressure of the Vigilante, as it determines the pressure going into the gun. You should run your Max Attack 200psi or so above your operating pressure (225 to 275 psi if stock, 180 if running really LP internals). My Bushy runs at 220psi and I run my Max Attack at about 475psi. The Vigilante, with consistent paint, gave me + - 5 fps on a good day.

I recently replaced the Vigilante with a Gladiator. I like the Gladiator better for a few reasons. It uses a ball bearing seal that is more robust than the pin and spring system in the Vig; It seems to give a little better consistency, can be adjusted over a wider range of pressures without changing springs, has a very high flow rate (not that the Vig didn't keep up with the Bushy), and is ergonomically better for me (the input goes in the bottom; no hassles lining up the input line on one side or the other).

The Max Attack works great, but you will need to clean out the reg periodically to keep it working at its best. This is easy; the system comes with instructions and diagrams.

Regards,

Superannuated
