: ok how do you adjust the front reg on my bushy? thanx for any help

:: The best way is to find someone with a Sonic LP reg gauge. Remove the bolt and ram, and screw the gauge in where the ram usually goes. Gas up the gun and set the LP reg for 90 psi. Turn the reg adjustment screw clockwise (as you look at it) to increase pressure, counterclockwise to decrease. The very early Bushies have two holes that require a needlenose pliers to adjust. The newer guns have a slot that accomodates a screwdriver (or a quarter).

In the absence of the gauge, turn the reg way down, then turn it up gradually until the gun cocks consistently, then give it another 1/8 or 1/4 turn in and play ball.

The problem with adjusting the LP reg without the gauge is that it's not easy to hit the ideal 90 psi. I have adjusted guys' regs when they were set above the 140-150 psi max indicated on the gauge (this increases recoil and is probably hard on the internals), and when they were set so low that the gun wouldn't cock at all ("my gun's broken..Bwaaaaaaa!").

Good luck.

Regards,

Superannuated
