: hello I have a question about co2 and argon. I know that co2 is used for welding and so is a co2/argon mix. My dad would like to get a 50 lb bulk co2 tank and use a co2/argon mix for welding. I was wondering if I could use that gas combonation in my paintball guns? Co2 and argon are basically the same gas except argon is much cleaner.

CO2 and Argon are not the same thing. CO2 is filled by weight - a 20oz tank has 20oz of CO2. Argon (Ar) is filled by pressure like Nitrogen (N2).
