If you're comparing CA CO2 tanks to the CO2 powerlets, then the CA tanks have many more advantages. A 20 oz. CO2 tank will typically give you around 700+ shots per fill (and much more in certain cases) whereas a CO2 powerlet will only give you 25+ or so. Obviously the CO2 tank has the advantage of not having to switch your supply every time you run out of air. On the down side, CA CO2 tanks are bulky (probably the biggest disadvantage). The CA tanks will also be more consistant than the powerlets, so on average, you will get more power from the CA tank. I haven't actually tested the shots you get from a CO2 powerlet but I do know that the fall-off in velocity is quite fast when you start to run out.
