here's an interesting experiment/paper.....

here's the unexplained action: at 280 fps -balls go relatively straight. so why at 350 fps balls go nuts? (nuts=not straight) faster velocity making airflow faster closer to ball surface making small imperfections relevant? ball geometry actually being affected/changed at higher velocities? minor spin becoming relevent at higher velocities? because, as velocities go 300 vs 350 is not much change... : If you are, or know something about it, you can help me! I'm doing a project for a math modeling class and I have to write a paper to model something technical about an activity I'm involved in. I'm on the paintball team at my college, so if at all possible I'd like to look into gas efficiency in bolts or how to pick your input pressure and what going too high or low does to your shot. I'm having a hard time finding sources, though, so if you'd happen to know a good site or book or even an equation I could work with, any bit of knowledge, really, either respond to this or shoot me an email.
