I've got a few HP pre-set tanks but wouldn't mind trying to convert one of them to an LP.( about 450-500psi output) If I understand the dynamics right it's the main spring in the reg that controls the fixed psi output.... right? If that is correct it seems that having a stiffer spring (or using a shim) would lower the output psi, correct? Has anyone done this other than the manufacturers?
