how do i hook up a on/off switch to my 20 oz. tank

just like my subject name... i have a smart parts n/off switch and a 20 ounce ank now they are supposed to go together. but i can only twist my on/off switch into my tippmann pro/carbine but the other end of the switch and my co2 tank cant go together. it looks like i have to put something around the end of the switch and the co2 tank end. please tell me what to do. email me please at drcrime891@aol.com
