It increases the volume of the air chamber behind the valve. You often need more VOLUME to get the ball up to 300 fps using the lower pressure.

SOMETHING has to push it. AIR VOLUME.

The Operating Pressure determines how fast it moves THE VOLUME though the valve while it is open.

Consider a roller sear. I am still partial to the Besales Roller Sear. I bought a Smart Parts Roller Sear and it just isn't the super light, butter smooth trigger pull that the Besales offers. But I ain't complaining. I have a 2 pound trigger pull.

Half the price of a swing trigger grip.

Get a shortened 3 way and a LP valve.

That is about all the Performance Upgrades of real noticeable value.

The stock reg is internally adjustable for LP. Once you have it working, you don't want to bump the externally adjustable reg and change your operating pressure. That internally adjustable reg works just fine and doesn't vary.
