Yes, it would be lighter... i have a Crossfire 68ci 4500psi Fiber wrapped and it is ligher than my 20oz Steel C02 filled. The 88 was just a bit too large for my needs though. i recommend a drop forward like a shocktech with that beast of a tank. To answer your question, the tank holds up fine, however, i would also recommend getting a tank cover for the fiber wrapped tanks because they are not as durable as the steel tanks.
The PMI tank will suit ya just fine.
: i am looking at getting the pmi 88ci tank that is the length of a 68 but bigger diameter. i was just wondering how these pmi tanks hold up, if anyone has ever had any problems with them. i have a 68ci steel right now and i have had olny about one problem with it but its kinda heavy...would the 88ci fiber wrapped be lighter?
