ASCO and others make solenoid valves with teflon seals like the seals in our markers that are capable of handling straight CO2 . A 1/8" or 1/4" valve with a time limiting circuit (to limit the amount of time the valve stays open) to prevent wasted gas would I believe do what you want . I've built a simulated AT4 (I've dubed it the AIRT4) using a 3/4" asco valve that my boss at work says (and he has fired them so I believe him) that either from just a short distance or just a quick glance looks like the real thing . I'm only running 40 to 50 psi to get (I haven't chonoed it yet) what I consider a safe operating velocity that if I was to hit someone with a nerf accidently or intentionally IF allowed by the senario promoter (and before you think bad thoughts of me I have had myself shot several times at close range , 20 feet , and only felt like being hit from a medium distance by 2 or 3 paint balls at once) wouldn't result in more than injured pride .
