: I'm using a Rainbird 3/4 anti-siphon model. Need to know what, if anything can be done to enhance performance on it. Any advice or a pointer to a website with such tips would be helpful.

You can drill out the topside vent hole (or whatever the correct name for it is) beneath the solenoid to allow it to dump faster.

You can also reroute the afore mentioned vent hole to vent externally.

These two mods will not improve flow, but they will help the valve open faster.
