i think a direct gravity feed might work? but ive had a hard time thinking of how, cuz of shell restrictions. if i use a sabot, 2 ways of loading. load sabots by hand, holding tp roll together, cuz its designed to come apart, or construct a shell for it that stays in the tank. i see 2 ways of doing that. belt or revolver fed. i tend to lean on the belt as it applies the same principles, though allows for more ammo. so i was trying to think of how to spin a belt, yet time it with the gun. also, how do i get the power to do so in a "hands-off" situation, as in semiauto fire, or auto fire (that is, if this super-fast fill idea works). so i figured i could get an electric motor to run it, and pins that spring lock into the sprocket every time holes pass by, lining the shell up to be fired. i think there are a lot of calibration issues with this feeder design that need to be addressed or solved before i can go and use it without using more consciousness than should be alotted to correct firing ofthe weapon, i should be more focused on what im shooting at, than whether im actually firing, haha! anyway, its late, so i gtta go -Peter |
