What size valve are you using ? The extinguiser I used now has a 1 inch pipe nipple braized into it . The 6 inch sphere you mentioned would have a volume of 85cu . I have seen small oxygen tanks used in emergency packs that looked to be about 5 to 6 inches but there you run into aluminum again . As long as you have access to aluminum pipe capable of being threaded you can have the nipple heli-arced to the tank .
