Old River Paintball is moving forward.

The biggest difference between a business on the upswing, and a business on the downswing is attitude and direction. The only talk of change at Old River I heard, was of the new structures to be built, of profits to be reinvested, and how to best manicure the field for the next big game.

It was great seeing everybody. It was especially exciting to see Old River, Hugh, and Nocer Productions all exchanging ideas for the future and smiling.

As for the game...three intense hours of a final battle would best describe it. In the end, when the smoke cleared, the Black Berets remained, firmly in control of Fort Apache against 5-1 odds, with all four flags still flying at the end.

Now there is talk of making Fort Apache less defensible. Sooo...was it the Black Berets or Fort Apache that can withstand the most punishing assault I have seen in 12 years of paintball? We'll all find out when the tables are turned, and the Doomtroopers will be on the inside in part two of: The Battle For Florida (bragging rights).
