: OK, boys and girls, here's your chance to let the various producers know how you feel. The question, is "Is scheduling a scenario game on top of another one within a 500 mile radius a good idea?

: 1. Yes! It gives players a choice and saves them money on travel costs.

: 2. No! It hurts the attendance of both games, and forces players to make choices they would rather not make.

: 3. Other (Specify)

: The floor's yours, so sound off!

: "Hollywood"

Of course it hurts those fields located near each other. But down here in Florida, where there are at least 55 paintball fields (that I am aware of), 12 full moons and only 5 months of cool weather..... Promoters almost have no choice but to use the same weekend.
Competition is generaly good for consumers. It would be great if competition DROVE DOWN the price of paint, entry and air. But I doubt it.
On the flip side, Competition is hard on the promoters. Field owners have to provide a wide varity of services that cost $$. Field owners also have to give up the regular weekends profit just to host a 24 hour game. So Owners lose $1-5000 dollars before the game even begins. With the hope to make up the lost profit. A poor showing for a scenario game is bad news for players and promoters alike.
The answer? Perhaps some coridnation between promoters or a regional circut Mega game where players travel to different fields. Or perhaps the Federal Government should step in.......
My point? I just want to shoot William Shatner at some future Central Florida event. My two cents. Bruce
