Disruption of service

Well, it's been A good 3 years, if memory serves since WARPIG moved to a new server. The time came once again, and the Pig has gotten a boost of about 6 times the CPU speed and 4 times or so the RAM and WAAAAAY more hard drive space. The glitch of it all is that it took me a couple of days to move the whole site, and then for Network solutions to propogate the name change so that when you type WARPIG.com (or pull it from your bookmarks, or if you're the people that really love us, have us as your homepage) your computer pulls the page from the new server instead of the old one.

Also with the new server came changes to how the software on the server is configured, and I made a typo in the changes to Unitalk (the forum software) which means that for the past day and a half while the DNS change was happening, if you were attempting to post a message you would have received a server error. Sorry about that. It's fixed now.

The other hiccup is that there will be some messages missing if they were posted in the gap time between when I started moving files and when the DNS change pointed people to the new server.

Also the more robust server is one of the items on the checklist for a number of new features planned to expand the Pig.

See you on the field,
