: Since this is a public park, can you bring your own paint to play or is it field paint only?

Yep, it's BYOP. You still have to pay field fees for walk on play - $12 for a half-day session.

One of the ideas behind it is to provide a safe, legal alternative to renegade play (which, even on private land is illegal in Palm Bay, firing an airgun in the city can get you up to $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail.) Part of that is making it a financially attractive alternative too, keeping the prices low and making it BYOP is part of that concept. Players will even be able to earn field fees by doing work at the field.

The city Parks & Rec department has done a lot with a small budget, by getting large donations of materials, lots of volunteer labor (Rogue Warriors have put in loads of work - there are fantastic firebases on the walkon/scenario field) and contracting on-site equipment rental and paint sales (handled by General Chester's Paintball Supply, who's shop is not a very far drive from the field).

See you on the field,
-Bill Mills
